Discover the other Tarija

This tour is a high-altitude adventure that introduces visitors to the Andean cultures of southern Bolivia – the “other” Tarija. In the middle of a landscape that is part of the Sama Biological Reserve, visitors can explore the magic of  Tajzara, a community in the midst of sand dunes, lagoons brimming with pink flamingos and other waterfowl, agricultural terraces, Inca ruins, colonial church, and llama-filled barns. We also visit local craftsmen whose weavings use natural fibers that take forms and color in articles of clothing of original design.
