A travel through time
More than 250,000 years ago, enormous mammals, including Mastodons and Glyptodonts, lived in Tarija. To see their remains, we visit the Paleontology and Arqheology Museum located in the center of Tarija, which has exhibits of fossils and replicas of gigantic pre-historic mammals. We then continue the tour at a natural museum in the outskirts of the city, where we can walk and observe fossil remains of species that inhabited our city thousands of years ago.
