We visit Tarija’s main attraction to learn about its history, culture, and beauty, including the historic Luis de Fuentes y Vargas Central Plaza; the Sucre Plaza, the meeting place of young people in Tarija; the Heroes Viewpoint; the Bolivar Park; markets and churches. We visit the Casa Dorada Museum, which is now the city’s arts center; the Paleontological Museum, housing the fossils of mammals that lived in Tarija thousands of years ago. We also travel along the avenue that crosses the city along the banks of the Guadalquivir River. Depending on the interests of the visitor, we can also visit the Franciscan Monastery, a place that invites us to discover the legacy of the colonial-era Franciscan monks.
